If we use a single-acting plunger type cylinder, there will be no hydraulic piston in our cylinder, so we do not need to machine the cylinder pipe precisely, which reduces the cost of the cylinder.
Another advantage of using a single-acting cylinder is to reduce the number of ports (connections) that we will control as hydraulic pistons from 2 to 1. Thus, advantages such as choosing the directional valve to control the cylinder more easily or using fewer valves will emerge.
